CATEGORIES SECTION

Cookies are organized into categories according to their characteristics.

  • Technical or Necessary: Necessary cookies help make the Site usable by enabling basic functions such as page navigation and access to secure areas. The Site cannot function properly without these cookies. This category also includes so-called analytical cookies, as they are collected by anonymizing the user’s IP address and processed exclusively by the Controller in aggregated form to analyze traffic, monitor performance, and assess Site usage.

  • Google Marketing: These cookies are used to determine whether online ads viewed by the user are effective. They record when a user clicks on an ad and track whether that click leads to an action on the site (e.g., making a purchase or submitting a form). With this information, Google can better link results to advertising campaigns and assess their effectiveness.

  • Facebook Marketing/Profiling: Facebook marketing cookies are used to track user visits and display personalized ads both on Facebook and partner websites. This tool improves retargeting (showing ads again to users who have already visited the site) and helps measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. The use of this cookie may result in the transfer of data to the United States or other third countries.

Definition of “Cookies”

Cookies are small text files (letters and/or numbers) sent by the Site and stored by the user’s browser on the device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
Depending on the user’s preferences, cookies are stored on the device during browsing and used to collect information on the user’s behavior, preferences, and service usage.

In this document, the term “cookies” also refers to similar tracking technologies.

Types of Cookies

Depending on their characteristics and usage, cookies can be divided into two main categories:

  • Technical or Session Cookies (Necessary): These are essential cookies that ensure the proper functioning of the Site and are used to manage login and access to restricted functions. Their duration is strictly limited to the browsing session (they are deleted when the browser is closed), except for longer-term cookies used solely to recognize the user’s device for a limited period through an alphanumeric code generated during the first login. Disabling these cookies may compromise access to reserved services (login). The public part of the Site remains normally accessible.

This category also includes so-called analytical cookies, as they are collected by anonymizing the user’s IP address and processed exclusively by the Controller in aggregated form to analyze traffic, monitor performance, and assess Site usage.

  • Marketing or Profiling Cookies: These are persistent cookies used to collect—sometimes even without direct identification of the user—their preferences to improve browsing experience, create user profiles, and deliver advertising messages in line with their online behavior. Marketing and/or profiling cookies may only be used with the user’s explicit consent (Article 122(1) of Legislative Decree 196/03, in conjunction with Article 6(1)(a) of the Regulation).

Third-Party Cookies

When visiting the Site, if the user has given consent, cookies managed by other organizations (“Third Parties”) may be installed or modified.
The management of information collected by Third Parties is governed by their respective privacy and cookie policies.
For transparency and convenience, links to these policies are provided in the table below and in the “Categories” section of the cookie banner.

Cookie Duration

Session cookies: remain active only until the browser is closed or the user logs out.
Persistent cookies: remain active even after the browser is closed and during subsequent visits.
Their duration is determined by the server upon creation—sometimes with a fixed expiration date, in other cases indefinitely.
For more details, see the table below.
